WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE TMSA?
- All management's who produce live entertainment on a professional basis.
- All who put on shows professionally.
- All Venue Owners and Managers, Industry Service Providers, Live Entertainment Production Houses, Academic and Training Institutions.
WHY SHOULD I JOIN THE TMSA?
- To strengthen the only Employers' Body dedicated to representing Theatre Producers in all Negotiating Forums relating to terms of employment.
- To make sure my voice is heard in all policy-making negotiations and theatre business matters.
- To enjoy professional guidance in the implementation of the Standard Terms of Employment for the Theatre.
- To have a vote at all general meetings of the TMSA, and thereby to influence it's policies and decisions.
- To enjoy benefits, such as reduced price tickets for members' productions, and other privileges arranged by the TMSA from time to time for members.
- To be kept informed of opening nights, upcoming events, festivals, seminars, meetings and conferences affecting the Theatre.
- To enjoy the benefits of the membership card and certificate, and the right to announce my membership by the display of the logo on letterheads, cards and brochures, in foyers and on the TMSA web page.
- To be entitled to free advice on contracts, budgeting, the acquisition of rights, royalty payments, administrative, technical and fund-raising matters.
- To enjoy the recognition of co-members and peers as being a fully fledged, accredited, professional management.
WHAT TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP ARE AVAILABLE?
- VENUE MEMBERSHIP
- applicable to managements controlling legit theatre venues by way of ownership, or long-term lease (min 500 seats)
MEMBERSHIP FEE: R 2 000,00 PER YEAR - applicable to managements controlling legit theatre venues by way of ownership, or long-term lease (max 500 seats)
MEMBERSHIP FEE: R 1 500,00 PER YEAR
- applicable to managements controlling legit theatre venues by way of ownership, or long-term lease (min 500 seats)

PRODUCER MEMBERSHIP
applicable to managements who do not own or control legit theatre venues
MEMBERSHIP FEE: R 1 000,00 PER YEAR

THEATRE SERVICE PROVIDER MEMBERSHIP
- applicable to companies or individuals who offer professional services to Theatre Producers (Corporate)
MEMBERSHIP FEE: R 2 000,00 PER YEAR - applicable to companies or individuals who offer professional services to Theatre Producers (Individual)
MEMBERSHIP FEE: R 500,00 PER YEAR
- applicable to companies or individuals who offer professional services to Theatre Producers (Corporate)

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
applicable to "entry level" managements and AMDRAM, AD HOC (festivals) and Foreign.
MEMBERSHIP FEE : R 250,00 per year.

COMMUNITY THEATRE MEMBERSHIP
TMSA embraces and encourages new emerging Theatre Managements and Producers and especially welcomes Community Theatre Groups who could benfits from TMSA experience and expertise.
MEMBERSHIP FEE : R 350,00 per year.

FESTIVAL MEMBERSHIP
Any festival featuring Theatre and Live Performances e.g. Grahamstown Festival of the Arts, KKnK, Aardklop etc. would be very welcome!
MEMBERSHIP FEE : R 2 000,00 per year.

GRANT MEMBERSHIP
applicable to managements adjudged from time to time by the Executive to be deserving.
MEMBERSHIP FEE : FREE

HONORARY LIFE MEMBERSHIP
applicable to individuals deemed by the Executive and Management Councils to be deserving of special recognition for their exceptional contribution to Theatre in South Africa.
